Cumalikizik… 15 km away from Bursa(one of the biggest cities of Turkey), an admiring village on the foothills of Uludağ.
First time ı heard of the village was when ı watched the tv series of Kınalı Kar (Hennaed Snow). Everytime we go to Bursa, I always wanted to go there but I couldn’t, however, this time I did, yes!
My friends having been to there already told me what a great place it is to travel but it is really great to see there from your own perspective. :)
Journeys give people peace they need. Especially, if you have some friends (life forex.) with you sharing the same excitement , all the journeys are always more beautiful… After a long and adventurous trip, we arrived at the village. Great view of the village eases your tiredness. We immediately started running around from side to side like children do.
Wonderful smells coming from houses just inebriated us. We headed to ‘breakfast house’ through a little walk. We got in a breakfast house on the square and people there hosted us. Most of the places is run by families. Good people of the village presented us their home-made jams and other fresh and great foods for the breakfast they made by themselves. We discovered the home and took our place. Shape and decore of houses welcomed us very friendly and warmly as if you ‘ve always been there. Brilliant tastes of the village took their place on the table.
Bread, olive, butter, cream, eggs, rolls, pastry, various cheeses, tomato, cucumber, and special tomato sauce.. they made us full even before starting up eating. We ate all of them with a great appetite:) We, after the breakfast, started travelling and taking pictures. We were like competing
with each other just to take more pictures.

Generally, Cumalikizik presents you pleasure with its 3floored houses made of stone and adobe also with its clear and breezy air. Walking through no pavement and narrow roads between houses having unique style by stone, eating fruits fell off well-dressed, well-fed, great trees were such things for us that can not easily be experienced nowadays, it was like going back in time when is currently
witnessing trees getting cut, parks being ruined distroyed…
We tried to have this beauty fit in just one day, but for the ones spend their weekends in Cumalikizik,
let me tell you so quick that accomodation in pansions costs just 65tl (around 21$ or 19€). Never
loose time to come here, especially if you like capturing pictures like me. Come and see how time flies well here:)
