Birds' Requiem is named by Dhafer Youssef who has performed the song most properly. This album is the most sorrowful, sweet, naive, touching requiem, in deed. There are many melodies flutter like birds in the album. I have waited so long for concert of Dhafer Youssef who is voice of hope and sadness. Tunisian artist was hosted in Harbiye Cemil Topuzlu Open air Stage through Sunar Media, Event34 and Joy jazz organizations in July, 5, 2014.

Dhafer Youssef started his music life in a small town near coastline in Tunisia with a toy lute he made by himself playing songs he heard in radio. The Artist did not know how to notate. The first time he was appeared on stage was at the age of 19 when he sang in weddings. Dhaffer Youssef never gave up on music although all economic difficulties he faced and he could give us the chance to meet his music. More about his music, in general, his songs start with sorrowful melodies and end livingly, dancingly. It is also possible to see the effects of what he lived... There is no way you can't admire Dhafer Youssef who gets you an earful with his unique vocal and unforgettable, elevating melodies.

Dhafer Youssef is considered as one of the best jazzers in the world due to his music he promotes with the spirit of sufism. In his concert, clarinet virtuoso Husnu Senlendirici who takes you an another universe, cither virtuoso  Aytac Dogan who owns a very special soul, Eivind Aarset, Phil Donkin, Kritjan Randalu and Ferenc Nemeth accompanied him as well.

Dhafer Youssef whose voice meets in the same voice with clarinet, is applauded for his breathe and vocal technique. His sincerity on the stage, chats with listeners and his acceptance of applauses not only for himself but also for his friends are not some situations there are in every concerts. In the second  part of his concert, 2 legend artists Husnu Senlendirici and Aytac Dogan  got a big hand for their duet. I haven't been satisfied by such a beautiful and special concert for long in deed :) I feel very lucky for peace and happiness comes from  listening live to Dhafer Youssef and the other legend artists on the stage :)

For the ones who have not sadly met Dhafer Youssef thus far, my prior song recommendation is the song 'Khamsa' in the album 'Abu Nawas Rhapsody' which the artist released in 2010. Maybe, for the reason ı like so much, ı can't stop myself from listening to 'Khamsa'. 'Khamsa' is something like notated form of sorrow and hope in music, like life.. I recommend all music lovers to listen to 'Birds' Requiem' which is among 3 best jazz albums of Europe in 2013. Must listen to those melodies that touch our hearts with sorrow.
