We have been shattered by the afflictive news recently as war is presented as art and is imposed to people in the same way. We have no toleration to witness war and art are used in the same sentence. In deed, art is not a ‘blood for blood’ effort but enlivening. We call and invite every mindful communities actually all the country to green the hope for peace, refreshing everyone who are willing to make our geography more liveable!
It is time to put out the fire of war that is distroying liveliness in such geography from where tremendous values like Anatolia and Middle East also historical legacy of humanity spread every side not burst it into anger. What should be rescued from a fire at the first time is human life. Real art is halting death and enlivening ones around you!
We, as the ones whose signatures are below, want to do the art in a geography in where the peace does exist. We want to add happiness, hopes to our poems, movies, stories, novels, songs, vocabulary not mournings. We believe we need to turn these lands to a colorful picture greening with young people’s hopes, happiness and their lives. We have objection for the ones who want to pursue the provision of war!
We call out to who presents war as solution or remedy; These lands never had absence of wars, death, tears and lamentations. War was never like a solution for anything. Trying out to make up a solution from war deepens desperation. Give up on sacrificing those young people‘s lives for this vain and aimless efforts!
We call out to friends and all public opinion; we artists, are all ready to follow in even little crumbs of peace! We consider supporting every steps for peace as a humanist duty. Making peace is an art and we take the road to trace this art. Not much what we want; we just want peace we need!
